Motorcyclist killed in crash on I-84 in Tolland

On Thursday, a motorcyclist from Willington was killed on Interstate 84 in Tolland after he lost control of his motorcycle, collided with a pickup truck, and was then pinned beneath a tractor-trailer. According to the Connecticut State Police, the victim, who has been named as 26-year-old Kevin Gorman, was transported to Hartford Hospital via LifeStar following a collision that occurred on Interstate 84 West at around 4:37 p.m.

According to state police, Gorman was pronounced dead at the hospital where he was taken. There were no reports of any further injuries. According to state police, Gorman was riding his Suzuki GSX-R600 motorcycle in the left lane behind a Dodge Ram pickup truck when traffic in front of him abruptly began to halt owing to a previous accident in the left shoulder. Gorman was behind the truck when the incident occurred. According to the state police, Gorman applied the brakes, lost control of his motorbike, and crashed into the back of the Dodge Ram.

According to the state police, the collision pushed Gorman and his motorcycle underneath a tractor-trailer that was positioned in the middle of three lanes before he became separated from the bike. Gorman had fallen off his motorcycle and was lying in the middle lane when it landed in the right lane.
