John Felix Anthony Cena is a WWE-signed American professional wrestler, actor, and former rapper. Having held the most world championships in WWE history, Cena is largely recognized as one of the all-time best professional wrestlers.
Cena moved to California in 1998 to pursue a bodybuilding career before switching to professional wrestling in 1999, making his debut for Ultimate Pro Wrestling (UPW). In 2001, he signed with the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE) and was assigned to its developmental territory Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW), where he won the OVW Heavyweight Championship and the OVW Southern Tag Team Championship.
Unlike other Superstars, John Cena has a straightforward explanation for why he has never had his flesh tattooed. The Cenation’s leader explained that he never got a tattoo because his mother would have “killed him” if he did.
Despite this, Cena is said to be a big supporter of tattoos, having given an exclusive interview to tattoo magazine Inked in 2015.
Cena made a cameo appearance in Sisters the same year, as a severely tattooed heroin dealer. A few years later, in 2018, rumors arose on the internet that Cena had gotten a fake tattoo on his wrist.
Cena is a 16-time WWE Champion, making him the most decorated champion in WWE history, alongside Ric Flair. While Cena’s full-time wrestling career is certainly gone, he continues to return to WWE. Cena will battle Austin Theory for the United States Championship in the event’s opening action at WrestleMania 39.
